When her secret is is exposed, Enora and Carric, her creation, are forced to flee across a kingdom ruled by fear, propaganda, and religious paranoia. Pursued by the ruthless Aequitor Prima Lucan Caedmon and the agents of the Silentate, their only help for survival is through the help of Avondale, a mysterious swordsman haunted by his previous association with The Dominion.
